Maiden Voyage with Poresy and LS One!

After a construction period of just over a year, the time had finally come: The new “Halunder Jet” is ready and was christened in Hamburg before it left for its maiden voyage.

About 250 shipyard workers and 60 employees of the Förde shipping company Seetouristik have worked at the AUSTAL shipyard in Cebu, Philippines, at the new ferry. The catamaran replaces the old “Halunder Jet”, which was taken out of service in fall 2017 after more than 15 years of reliable service.

The new “Halunder Jet” sets new standards, especially in terms of comfort: wider seats, more legroom and an even better view. The interior concept, designed by the Australian design office Spear Green, impresses with its bright and friendly atmosphere and invites people to linger. Thanks to nine large panorama windows, a 4-zone air conditioning, several flat screens and a 200 square meter open air area Helgoland lovers will travel in the future with a top speed of 36 knots in a more modern and comfortable way. So for many the holidays on Helgoland Island already starts with the journey.

The day of the maiden voyage was also the day of the go-live of our LS-One system. Because, of course, you can also shop on the Halunder Jet, buy tickets, etc. And the shipping company FRS has chosen Poresy as a high-performance partner and for our inventory management and POS system LS One. This state-of-the-art solution includes both flexibly expandable modules that can be integrated into central systems as well as various configuration options in the central and cash register functions.

Accompanied by a professional launch support, the go-live was noiseless and the customer was able to focus on his business, the transport of his guests.

In the background, the highly motivated and competent PORESY team with its 24/7 service naturally also supports all processes in the customer’s interest, even after the start.
