Sweet dreams are made…

Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) is the largest airport in Hong Kong and is also considered the largest cargo airport in the world. It is also known as Chek Lap Kok Airport to distinguish it from its predecessor Kai Tak, which it replaced in 1998.

Hong Kong is the second largest airport in the People's Republic of China after Beijing. For 2030, forecasts predict a passenger volume of up to 100 million passengers and a freight volume of up to nine million tons per year. In this dynamic environment, PORESY continues the international rollout of the LS One POS system.

Contrary to the usual duty-free range, only sweets are sold under the name "Sweet Dreams" in the duty-free shops of the Hamburg-based company Gebr. Heinemann in Hong Kong. The implementation of LS One for 8 shops with a total of 20 cash registers started on November 25, 2019 and was completed after only 2 weeks. Last but not least, the close and trusting cooperation with the customer made it possible to carry out the rollout purely remotely. In the background, the highly motivated and competent employees of the PORESY team with the on-call readiness of the Poresy 3rd level ensured additional security during the entire rollout.

Dennis Otterbein, Lead Consultant for Hong Kong, is accordingly enthusiastic: "By bundling all resources and the usual great teamwork, we managed to implement an absolutely noiseless changeover despite the really tight schedule."

Again LS One was able to convince internationally. The state-of-the-art POS solution includes both an expandable SAP integration and various configuration options in the central and cash register functions across the various channels. PORESY adapts LS One perfectly to the business of its customers, takes care of country-specific adjustments and modifications and is always available to support you with the rollout as well as with its 24/7 service.
